VieCure Basic Platform Navigation
This quick guide covers core navigation and workflow areas. It includes user settings, location management, and help access. It details application-level screens: Worklist, Clinic Schedule, Patient Chart, Pharmacy Dispensing, System MAR, Charge Capture, and Faxes. Within the Patient Chart, it covers Orders, Demographics, Financial Review, Billing, Patient History, Assessments, Diagnosis & Staging, Notes & Documents, Tasks, MAR, Pharmacy Dispensing, Patient Schedule, Treatment Plans & Results, Lab Specimen Collection, Charges, Patient Messages, and Considerations.
User Management
- Facility Locations — Click on the facility name or the dropdown arrow to see a list of your assigned facilities and switch between them.
- User Dropdown Menu – Access System Configuration, review notifications and alerts, manage templates, and log out of the platform.
- Resource Center – Accessible via the white question mark at the top right of the screen. Launch walkthrough guides, ask questions, submit support tickets, and track onboarding to VieCure.
Screens from the VieCure Home Screen
- The following core screens are available from the VieCure home screen:
- Worklist - The VieCure landing page. Filter tasks by type, priority, target date, facility, patient, etc. Select My Tasks at the top to view only tasks assigned to you.
- Patient Search - Use the Search bar at the top of every page to quickly look up a patient by name or ID. This search bar is persistent throughout the platform.
- Add Task - Quickly add a manual task for any patient using this button at the top of the screen. This option persists throughout the platform for efficient tasking.
- Clinic Schedule - Access the full clinic schedule from the sidebar to view and manage appointments across the facility.
- Patient Chart -This link becomes selectable only after a patient's chart has been opened. Use it to return to the most recently opened chart.
- Pharmacy Dispensing - View the pharmacy dispensing needs by patient, medication, or facility. Filter by target date or schedule date in a desired date range.
- System MAR - Display all results for a chosen date/date range and facility. It can be sorted by patient or route of administration.
- Charge Capture – Provides a global view of charges across patient encounters
- Faxes – View, archive, and file inbound faxes to a patient’s chart.
Screens within the Patient Chart
- Once a patient's chart is open, the following sections are available:
- Patient Tile – Persists at the top of all patient chart sections to keep identifying and important patient data visible.
- Orders - Place new orders using favorites or by searching the Order Catalog. View the patient’s order history.
- Demographics - A patient's chart will automatically open to the Demographics tab. View the patient's profile, insurance information, pharmacies, providers, etc. Most of this information will pull over from the PMS.
- Financial Review - Houses all prior authorization information for the patient.
- Billing - likely being removed from the platform
- Patient History - View/add/edit allergies, vitals, medications, DME, immunizations, medical/social/family history, and advanced directives.
- Assessments - View and enter patient evaluation data — vitals, ROS, physical exam, toxicities, and assessments — all in one place.
- Diagnosis & Staging - Enter and manage a patient's diagnoses, molecular results, and pathology specimens.
- Notes and Documents - Create, view, and fax the patient's notes and documents. View the fax history for this particular patient.
- Tasks - View and manage patient specific tasks.
- MAR - Manage allergies, vitals, labs, pre-treatment assessments, and medications for this specific patient. This will facilitate a safer and faster clinic workflow.
- Pharmacy Dispensing - Within this patient specific Pharmacy Dispensing page, manage allergies, vitals, labs, medications, and medical history. This will facilitate a safer and faster clinic workflow.
- Patient Schedule - View, schedule, reschedule or cancel appointments for this specific patient. This tab will automatically collapse the left sidebar to maximize working space.
- Treatment Plans & Results - Start and manage treatment plans as well as view lab results.
- Lab Specimen Collection - View lab requisitions, collection records, and specimen collections, submit a new lab requisition, and send electronic orders to the lab.
- Charges - Enter and track charges as they're generated for the patient's care.
- Patient Messages – Communicate directly with patients. Patients will receive these messages via their Patient Mobile account.
