This quick guide answers frequently asked questions about the Worklist in VieCure. It covers how to open and organize your tasks and views, find tasks for a specific patient, and what is and is not yet documented for triage inbox and phone triage handling.
How to manage the triage queue
Triage-related items reach you as tasks on the Worklist. Use the All Tasks tab to see every active task for the facility, or My Tasks to see only tasks assigned to you. Both tabs show the last 30 days by default; use the date window control to look further back.
- Filter — Filter by Type, Priority, Status or Assignee. The Assignee filter includes an Unassigned option so you can find tasks nobody owns yet.
- To save a different view of the Worklist — Click + tab next to My Tasks, enter a Worklist View Name, choose Days to Cover (Today, 1 Week, 2 Weeks, 1 Month, 3 Months or Custom), and optionally check Set as Default. The view appears as a tab next to My Tasks and keeps your filters, columns available.
- Columns — Use Configure Columns to show, hide or reorder columns. Your choices are remembered when you log in again. Use the icon that appears between the date range and View History to reconfigure the columns.
- Comments, History and Actions are always shown.
How to check my inbox and close out inbox messages?
Open the Worklist and select My Tasks to see everything assigned to you. Messages sent by patients through Patient Mobile also appear as Worklist tasks.
- Open the Worklist and click My Tasks.
- Find the task and use its Actions menu to review it. For a patient message, the review window shows the message thread and lets you reply.
- After you reply, the message task closes.
From Actions you can also complete, reassign, forward and dismiss a task dependent on the type of task.
How can I see the tasks associated with a specific patient
The Worklist has a Patient column on every task, so you can see which patient each task belongs to. Use the column filter on Patient to narrow the list to one patient.
How to close out completed triage inboxes out of the basket
Completed items are closed from the Worklist by working the task and then completing it from its Actions menu. Once a message task has been replied to, it closes.
Tip: use the Status filter to separate open and completed tasks so finished items do not clutter your view.
