This quick guide answers frequently asked questions about the Patient History tab in VieCure. It covers how Verify All works and how to record or change the date and time of vitals.
How does "Verify All" in the Patient History tab work?
- Open the patient's Patient History and click Verify All at the far right of the History tab row.
- In the Verify All Sections popup, check each section you reviewed. Sections are listed in the same order as the tabs: Allergies, Vitals, Medications, Medical History, Social History, Family History, Immunization History, Procedures, DME, Amendments and Advanced Directives.
- If anything has been added, it will appear highlighted in the popup window. Click Submit to save your changes. If you select other tabs and click Verify All, those tabs will be added to the popup list for submission. Click Cancel or the close (X) icon to close the popup without saving.
Other Useful Information
- Sections you have not viewed — A section you have not opened in the current session is disabled and cannot be selected. The popup always reminds you that sections not viewed cannot be verified.
- Not Reviewed sections — They start unchecked but can still be selected. Verifying does not remove the Not Reviewed status. If the status is removed, the section starts selected.
- What it changes — Only the verification statu; clinical data remains unchanged. Verified sections show a Last Verified date/time and user; a section never verified shows "Last Verified: N/A". Sections you do not select keep their current status.
- Popup details — The Verify button is enabled only when at least one valid section is selected, and your selections reset each time the popup is opened. There are no per-section Verify buttons; use Verify All.
Can I back date vitals in a patient record if I had recorded them earlier in the day?
Yes, the collection date and time of a vital entry can be changed.
- In the Vitals section, click the Date/Time shown for the vital entry (or click New Entry to start a new one).
- Choose Date/Time Change from the menu (the menu also has View History Log and Void).
- Pick the date and time then save. The entry moves to the correct place in chronological order.
- Who can edit values — Vital values can be edited only on the same calendar day and only by the user who created the entry. Other users can view them but not change them.
- Date/Time Change — This remains available even when the values themselves can no longer be edited.
- Entering vitals — Height, Weight, Blood Pressure, Pulse, Temperature and other configured vitals can be entered. BMI and BSA are calculated automatically from height and weight. Optional fields include patient position, temperature method, pulse method, blood pressure method, and side of body. The Save button becomes enabled when you create or edit an entry. You cannot save until all required information has been provided.
